A Party Central Backyard
Birthday parties, baby shower, outdoor movie night… anything is possible in this party central backyard. I love how the dining room/kitchen opens up to the backyard, doubling the place for entertaining. Guests can relax by the pool cabana or lounge on the outdoor daybed while gazing at the night sky. Throw a bunch of floating candles in the pool, and voila, an instant romantic setting for anniversary dinners, a wedding proposal, you get my drift.
What I love about it:
- The birdcage lamps are unique, playful but not too kitschy, at least not in this case. Only thing is I can’t find this type of lamp in the market yet, well, not in the big box store anyway, but perhaps at one of those one-of-a-kind-handmade goods store, i.e., Etsy. If you’re handy, a DIY lamp is another possibility. Or, you can just buy a sort of hanging lamps at Wayfair. It’s not exactly the same but it’s pretty darn close and just as fabulous.
- The outdoor daybed is for sharing intimate moments with friends and family members. Not only it offers the opportunity to provide guests at the [pool] party with ample comfy seating, yet also creates a pleasant retreat to catch some rays on hot summer days or to snuggle up with your nearest and dearest to do a little stargazing in the evening.
